WHAT ARE MODEL DIGITALS? (THE RAW VIBE)
What exactly are digitals? Think of them as your industry "ID card." They are simple, unedited, and high-resolution snapshots that show agencies exactly what you look like right now. No Photoshop, no Facetune, no distractions. Just pure, unadulterated potential! 📸
Why are they so important? Because agencies need to know how you look without the "magic" of a professional shoot. They are looking for a blank canvas they can transform. If you want to join the ranks of icons like Fatou Jobe, you need to master the art of the digital!
THE MODEL UNIFORM: DRESS TO IMPRESS
To get signed, you need to look the part. This isn’t the time for your favorite sequined gown or those trendy oversized hoodies. You want to wear what we call the "Model Uniform." This look is designed to show off your proportions without any clutter.
SLAY THE LOOK WITH THESE BASICS:
- A FITTED TOP: A simple black or white tank top or bodysuit. It should be form-fitting to show your frame!
- SKINNY JEANS: Black or dark blue denim that hugs your legs.
- SIMPLE HEELS: A classic pump or stiletto (no wedges!) to elongate your legs and show off your poise and command.
- CLEAN SKIN: Very minimal makeup. A little concealer and some lip balm is all you need. Agencies want to see your real skin texture!
- NATURAL HAIR: Keep it clean and simple. You’ll need shots with your hair down AND shots with it pulled back off your face.

THE LIGHTING: Natural light is your best friend! Stand facing a large window during the day. This provides a soft, even glow that highlights your features without creating harsh shadows. Avoid direct sunlight that makes you squint: nobody wants a "squinty" headshot!
